During 2018 ordinary meetings of the Canterbury DHB will generally be held monthly on a Thursday, normally from 9.00 am.
Board meetings are generally held in the Board Room, Level 1, 32 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch. However, meetings may occasionally be held at other venues around the district.
In accordance with the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000, public notices detailing the date, time and venue of all meetings of the Board and committees are published towards the end of each month in Canterbury newspapers. Notice is also given on the Canterbury DHB website.
Agendas are posted on our website two working days prior to each meeting.
The Board has up to 11 members of whom 7 are elected and 4 are appointed by the Minister of Health by notice in the Gazette for terms of up to three years. DHB Board members are accountable to the Minister of Health, (through the Chairperson of the Board) for the performance of the DHB.

Members of the public are welcome to attend, subject only to the right of the DHB to decide to take some item(s) of business while the public are excluded. Copies of the agenda and associated reports will be available at the public meeting.
The agenda and associated reports of any public meeting are available for inspection (two working days prior to the meeting) at the Canterbury DHB's Corporate Office, Level 1, 32 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch.
