IV Link Staff Recertification Study Session

Aims/Purpose​The aim of the session is to provide a multidisciplinary session for IV Link staff which includes education and resources to support the ongoing role of the IV link staff.

  • ​Being an assessor - how to assess
  • IV Link Nurse presentation/feedback
  • Clinical Practice Observations (CPO)/group work
  • Auditing process and results
  • Infection prevention and control surveillance results.
2016 Dates​24 February, 13 April, 16 June, 30 August, 22 November
Duration​4hrs, 0830-1230hrs. 
Recertification is required every 3yrs.

Target Audience​Registered Nurses and Midwives who are certificated IV Link staff.
Pre-requisite
  1. ​Initial IV Therapy certification
  2. Desirable - a current CVAD, Venepuncture and Cannulation certification.
  3. Actively performing CPOs with collated results
  4. Complete pre-course task form and requirements listed on the form
  5. Pre course task form must be brought to the study session to enable completion of registration. This is located on the healthLearn page.
