April falls awareness campaign

Friday April 1, 2016

April is Falls Awareness month

Falls are a major cause of harm, particularly for frail elderly people.

If you aren't at risk, you'll know someone who is - a family member, friend or neighbour.

For this reason falls prevention remains a key focus for the Canterbury health system.

During April we will again be promoting the importance of falls prevention with staff, patients and visitors. We'll be celebrating our own inspirational 'falls champions' and look out too for the striking new posters and displays.
