What We Do
As we head towards the Christmas break, construction on the Acute Services building recorded several milestones:
The final concrete pour to create Level 9 (the top floor) on the West Tower.
The steel framing for the East Tower is almost compelete with concrete pours up to Level 7.
Work begun on the entrance structure.
Walls and partitioning starting to be installed up to Level 2 in the West Tower.
Glass windows in up to Level 2 and ongoing installation of the precast panels on the West Tower.
190 contractors and more than 160,000 man hours worked on the site since March 2016.

With the Christchurch Outpatients, Health Research Education Facility, Fletchers Earthquake repairs and Archibalds' Corner site under construction, the area around Hospital Corner is VERY busy, increasingly with heavy trucks.
Please take care and follow the appropriate safety and road signs.
There is a container walkway running up Antigua St to the Oxford Tce crossing for pedestrians and a dedicated cycle lane for cyclists travelling up Antigua St to the Boatshed bridge.
See the Christchurch Outpatients page for more details.
