If you have an Outpatients appointment on or after Monday 29 October, please double check where your appointment is by checking your appointment letter or phoning the number on it. With 27 services gradually moving into the new Christchurch Outpatients building over three weekends, checking your appointment letter is the best way to make sure you end up where you’re meant to be.

Christchurch Outpatients is the new outpatients facility at Christchurch Hospital. It provides a wide range of outpatient services over 5 floors of the building. The main entrance to Christchurch Outpatients is at 2 Oxford Terrace, until mid-December 2018, the rear entrance will be used, at 245 Antigua Street.
For the next few days (until mid-November 2018) some outpatients services remain at Hagley Outpatients next to Christchurch Women’s Hospital on the north side of Riccarton Avenue. Checking your appointment letter is the best way to make sure you end up where you’re meant to be.

The hospital shuttle service from the Lichfield Street Car Park building will drop patients off and pick them up at the new Christchurch Outpatients building.
The drop-off / pick-up point will be at the rear entrance of the Outpatients building
– 245 Antigua Street – until the roadworks on Oxford Terrace are completed. This work is currently estimated to end in December 2018.

There is only very limited on-street parking near the building itself. If possible, use of the hospital shuttle service from the Lichfield Street Car Park building is recommended.
There will be three mobility parking spaces at the rear entrance to the Outpatients building (245 Antigua Street).
Nine mobility parking spaces are available on-street near the Boatshed Café and a further 13 on the hospital site.
Until December 2018 drivers can drop patients off / pick them up – no waiting! – at the rear entrance of the building (245 Antigua Street) and park elsewhere.
This area is very congested, including deliveries to the building.
Volunteers and security personnel will be on hand to assist.
When Oxford Terrace opens in December 2018 there will be a bigger drop-off zone outside the main Outpatients entrance.
All drop-off parking will be P5 – Drop-off Only.
The nearest off-street car parking is a Wilsons car park on Antigua Street but there are several others within a short walk. See the City Council’s website for an up-to-date parking map.
Several main bus routes travel directly past Christchurch Outpatients (see metroinfo.co.nz for more details). There are bus stops within 50 m of the building on both sides of Tuam Street.

Hagley Outpatients is located on Riccarton Avenue, in Christchurch.
Large signs indicate routes to services.
There is a reception area on each floor.
The outpatient services at Christchurch Outpatients are as follows, floor by floor. Each service has its own reception desk on the appropriate floor.
Christchurch Outpatients has a public café on the ground floor. This café will be opening in December 2018.
There are other cafés within a short walk of the building, including the Great Escape public café at the main hospital.
