Lincoln Community Maternity Unit offers the best of both worlds - a peaceful rural setting, yet only minutes from Christchurch. Situated on the city side of Lincoln township, the hospital is especially convenient for families from all southern suburbs and from throughout the Selwyn District. Lincoln Maternity hospital is certified to top healthcare standards, providing you with the assurance of quality service and care. Following a vaginal birth, transfer is within 12 hours, caesarean sections transfer within 24 hours.
Lincoln midwives offer skilled support to new mothers / families in those very early learning days. They will assist and support you while you become confident with feeding and caring of your baby. Lincoln Hospital is also an accredited Baby Friendly hospital.
