Transport and parking

However you get to hospital, allow enough time to get to your appointment.

Many of our hospitals have on-site free parking for patients and visitors, but due to limited car parking around Christchurch Hospital, taking a shuttle bus, taxi or bus could be faster than driving and trying to find a car park space near Christchurch hospital.

See hospital pages for details about car parking at all our hospitals.

More details on patient and visitor car parking at Christchurch Hospital.

Christchurch Hospital has a FREE shuttle service, operating from 7.15am to 8.30pm, seven days a week.

The shuttle runs from Lichfield Street Car Park (33 Lichfield Street) to Christchurch Hospital.

To find out if you can get National Travel Assistance, visit the Ministry of Health website.
