The Department of Anaesthesia provides anaesthesia services in Christchurch Hospital.

Surgical services include all the main surgical specialities including Cardiac-thoracic surgery, Neurosurgery, Paediatric/Neonatal surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.

The department also provides services to the Spinal Injuries Unit at Burwood Hospital.
