The Orthopaedic Outpatient Department (also known as the Bone Shop) is located in Christchurch Hospital, the department usually deals with patients with broken or damaged bones.
Your doctor or another health professional such as the Emergency Department may refer you to the Orthopaedic Outpatient Department for follow up orthopaedic care.
If you are an existing patient or have a referral, you can access the department through Christchurch Hospital's main entrance.
Hours: Monday to Friday: 8am - 4:30pm, closed weekends and public holidays.
Location: Access via Christchurch Hospital main entrance, Ground Floor, Parkside East.
Orthopaedic Acute Care (OAC) provides specialist acute orthopaedic assessment and management of bone and muscle injuries. You can be referred to OAC by your doctor or self-refer via the Emergency Department.
In an emergency when you have broken a bone, please call 111 or visit the hospital Emergency Department.
Hours: 8am - 11pm, 7 days a week including public holidays.
