Christchurch Women’s Hospital

Patient and visitor guidelines - Updated 13 July 2021

Due to a significant rise in viral respiratory illnesses in the community, visitor restrictions have been put in place to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in environments where many people are especially vulnerable. Fewer visitors = less risk to patients. Thank you for continuing to help us keep people safe.

  • Partners can visit from 8am to 10pm.
  • All other visiting is from 3pm until 8pm, and again only one well-adult at a time.
  • No child visitors at this time please.

You can check our COVID-19 page for more information about visitor guidelines, including special exceptions.

Christchurch Women’s Hospital provides maternity, and gynaecological, and obstetric services. It also has a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which provides both intensive and special care for new born babies.
