In this edition of the CEO Update

In this week’s update, as we host 430 Olympic athletes in our MIQ facilities, things are changing on the COVID-19 vaccination front. Over 50s may book their appointments now, with the 40 and 30+ groups joining over the coming week. From 1 September, all eligible age groups will be able to book in for their vaccinations. We’re making preparations for the nurse and midwives’ strikes happening this Thursday 19 August, and calling out for volunteers to help support patients and colleagues on the day.

Also in this edition, Christchurch Hospital’s Ward 18 receives some donations for burn injury patients, the DHB contributes items for Samoa’s first-ever aged care facility and the Wellbeing Seminar series is back with ‘Building a better brain’.
