​This week’s CEO Update sees the Ministry’s surveillance audit team thank the staff who worked with them for their welcome, for their willingness to share their quality improvement initiatives and for their candour in highlighted work that still needs to be done. Chocolate cakes feature strongly, the first celebrating 100 Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Implants (TAVIs), and the second is a testimony to a senior clinician’s humility and a junior nurse who stuck to her guns. Together they kept one more patient safe from harm, and every one counts.
