Hospital visitors don’t need a COVID-19 Vaccine Pass, but do need to scan in. See our COVID-19 page for general COVID-19 advice, detailed hospital visiting guidelines and COVID-19 tests. See for info on vaccinations.

Canterbury DHB Serious Adverse Events Report 2018/19

Each year DHBs are required to release information relating to serious adverse events that have occurred within their hospitals. A serious adverse event (SAE) is one that has resulted in significant additional treatment, major loss of function, is life-threatening or has led to an unexpected death.

The DHB is required to review these events and report them to the Health, Quality & Safety Commission. The Commission then collates this information and it is published on their website

A media release about this 2018/19 Serious Adverse Events Report is also available in our health news section.
